CONTEST DETAILS:
The Herbal Essences Great Escape is an online competition amongst female Arab internet users aged between 16 and 24 belonging to the following Arab countries: Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and the Arabian Gulf. To join the competition, the contestants have to describe their Great Escape. A Great Escape can be many things. It all depends on where you would find yourself if you wanted to make your fantasies come true. You can escape to a desert island, watch the Paris Fashion Week live wearing the sexiest shoes you can find in town, give yourself the perfect makeover, grant an escape to someone you love, or simply start a project that you always wanted to do.
The contestants will then use their social interactive network to gather as many votes as possible from their fellow internet friends by sending out their Escape to their contact lists. The contestant with the biggest number of votes will be entitled the chance of having her Dream Escape Come True by Herbal Essences.
The competition will be made available from June 1st to August 31st 2009.
To be qualified to as a contestant, you should be:
Female aged between 16 – 25
A citizen of the following countries: Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Oman.
Rules for joining the competition:
Fill out the mandatory fields in the registration form.
Describe your ideal escape in the fields provided.
Share your escape with potential voters (from your mailing lists) via e-mail or facebook requests.
Rules for voting:
Any person can vote during the time specified by the competition creators.
Voting is done on-line
A voter is allowed unlimited number of votes per day.
A voter is allowed to vote only ONCE per day for the same contestant.
The Winner:
The winner is the contestant who accumulates the biggest number of votes within the allocated period of time set by the website owner.
The Prize:
The prize will be awarded to the winner
The prize is the realization of the Great Escape as described by the winner.
If the Great Escape is not realizable due to the logistical unfeasibility as judged by the website owner, or incurs a cost exceeding 10,000USD the winner will get the default prize.
The default prize is a 1 week trip for the winner and the person of her choice to Istanbul. Airfare, Hotel stay in a 5 Star Hotel and 1 meal a day will be covered.
The validity of the prize is 6 months after the last day of the competition.
Upon redemption of the prize, the winner will be asked to reveal her Identification Card to ensure the validity of the information provided in the registration form of the competition.
If the contestant is between 16 and 18 years old she will need the approval of her legal guardians before receiving her prize.
Competition Duration:
Competition validity will be signalled by a ticker on the website.
Disqualification OF Contestants:
Contestant is disqualified if not a Female, aged between 16 and 24 and a citizen of the following countries: Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Yemen, Oman.
Contestant is disqualified if the personal information filled upon registration does not match the Identification Card.
Contestant is disqualified if the content up-loaded is considered by the website owner to be offensive. The offensive content will then be removed.
If the winner is disqualified for any of the above reasons, the second contestant with the biggest number of votes then becomes the winner.
Competition owner
The owners of the competition can change the rules of the game without prior notice.
